Photonic Components for Industrial Applications:
From optical sensing to information technology – this is the range of applications of the chips developed at the Heinrich-Hertz-Institut. Simple LED-light sources, sophisticated lasers, fast photodiodes, detector arrays, and the integration of these devices, also including electronics, make up the scope of components. The infrared spectrum (1.2 – 1.6 µm) opens the way to eye-safe operation also in cases where increased levels of light power are required. Apart from semiconductor devices there is also profound competence in DOEs and optical polymer devices. We develop components according to customer specifications and fabricate them in small volumes.
